They are closing ranks and have refused to provide us with test reports for several products and product lines.
Our usual process is to identify the product and email the manufacturer requesting a test report to the relevant standard for that product. Sometimes the manufacturer requests we get the information directly from the testing company.
The closing ranks might have something to do with the astonishing fact that many of the test reports we have recently received indicate that the product still somehow ‘complies’ even when one or more elements that make up the product has never been tested for compliance. And the fact that we have advised the testing companies of this.
Therefore, without evidence of compliance of all elements of these products and with no intention of any of the manufacturers wishing to use performance solutions, we simply cannot approve the use of these products in any buildings we approve, inspect and certify.
These manufactures appear to continue to sell their products knowing that they do not comply.
