From 1 July 2024, we are no longer taking on building certification work. We are also finalising all our existing building certification work.
We will continue to assist clients to provide our extensive consultancy services including the preparation and lodgement of Development Applications (DAs), Complying Development Certificate (CDCs), Construction Certificates (CCs), Occupation Certificates (OCs), Building Information Certificates (BIC) and other Council applications such as Section 68 applications and Section 138 Roads Act applications.
We are the only development assistance consultants in the region offering this complete service.
This consultancy work will go hand in hand with our other services seen on our Services page. We will work on your behalf with your Certifier to assist with applications currently under assessment.
We are now located in central Mullumbimby, only 150m from Byron Shire Council.

Founded in 2017 by Nat Andrews, one of our Directors, the company continues to grow to meet the needs of our clients. Our highly qualified team has extensive experience in all types of planning, subdivision and construction projects. Our Directors each have over 25 years planning, consultancy and certification experience, each have Master’s degrees and are both unrestricted (A1) registered NSW certifiers.
Certifiers2U has grown from being a progressive building certification company to a full service planning and building code consultancy firm. We deliver on all aspects of development assistance, process management, building code, subdivision and specialise in assisting clients through the rigours of the planning system in NSW.
The NSW Planning Portal became mandatory across NSW on 1 July 2021. We have been working with the Planning Portal since 1 January 2021 so we know the ins and outs of the system.
Based in Byron Shire we have the capability to service our clients on a regional and state wide basis. Our wealth of experience allows us to facilitate projects from concept to completion.
In 2021 and 2022 we became a Regional Finalist for the Northern Rivers Region of the NSW Business Awards in the Micro Business Excellence category. We thank our clients past and present and all our supporters! We continue to work hard for our clients.

In April 2022 our business continued to grow. We now provide complete advice not only planning advice about just trying to get a DA, wholistic advice including whether some building work does not need approval, some may be possible as complying development and others that may require a DA.
Since December 2022 Certifiers 2U has been established for more than five (5) years which is an impressive milestone in this ecomonic climate.
In 2023, to established ourselves as the go-to business for problem solving planning matters and conducting detailed building code and fire safety audits of large commercial developments. We pride ourselves on providing detailed, easy to understand advice.
Our pre-complying development certificate (Pre-CDC) service has been very popular and continues to be so due to the long wait times for DAs.
Plus, we provide advice on how to design your development that looks beyond the planning approval so that it can meet building legislation, the National Construction Code (NCC) / Building Code of Australia (BCA) and help you secure that coveted occupation certificate or subdivision certificate.
